Why is it, with all the technical and CAD savvy available, that the designers and manufacturers of the pocket autos cannot in their wisdom incorporate either a surround boss to protect the mag release from in the pocket inadvertent dropping of the magazine, or use the European method of a butt activated mag release/retainer, such as the early Ruger auto .22? The chances of having to do a fast mag drop and reload on one of the mini autos approaches zero. JMHO

Re: Mag release rant

Good question - maybe we don't see alot of the whole mag release on the butt of the pistol as most of us are just so much more readily familiar with its usual location.

Just a thought-don't take my word for fact.

If you're having issues with inadvertant release, then why not either remove material from the mag release, or tape the magazine into the magwell to prevent it from falling out?
