Magnetic Gun Cleaning Mat

I'm thinking about getting a gun cleaning mat that is magnetic so if a small part comes out of the firearm, I will hopefully, have a better chance of finding it.

I've looked a few online but was wondering if anyone has any experience with magnetic mats and what would be the recommendation.

Most small parts I've had to search the carpet for were launched there by some kind of spring tension. So, I'm not sure what this would really do that a bowl or rubber mat with ridges wouldn't do.
