I’ve never seen these before, but it looks like the Chamber Chiller. It will be interesting to see what kind of battery life you get.
They run the chamber chillers on multiple larger batteries, and have models that run on usb battery packs.
Couple people had them at matches this weekend. Annoyingly loud, especially with electronic ears. They work as advertised, relatively loud though...
Guns shots are natural and obviously normal at a gun range. My RifleKuhl's frequency is extremely annoying (sometimes embarrassing) when wearing electronic ear pro's. For some reason the frequency/pitch/tone of the riflekuhl is amplified when wearing ear pro even at it's lowest setting. The noise from a few drone motors must be excruciating among all the gun fire and muzzle breaks...
I noticed you can change the pitch of the sound by pushing the bolt forward so it touched the Riflekuhl....also, I shut off my electronic ear pro when using it. I'm going to use it in my next match.
Here's the thing, most high end electronic ears completely dampen the rifle blasts while allowing normal sounds to be heard at full or even enhanced volume. The cracks are muted, but when there is a persistent sound like a fan motor they tend to pick it up more, and it drowns out all the other sounds at regular volume. The noise from a few drone motors must be excruciating among all the gun fire and muzzle breaks...
Preach. I want to know how long the damn abusive brakes are going to be allowed. We must become more civilized. At what point does noise, or noise complaints, become absurd in a sport dominated by noise?
No one hates muzzle brakes more than a guy in a carbine class, with a dude on each side of him, shooting 10.5” SBR’s with muzzle brakes. Every time I got a good sight picture with my red dot *BONNNG* dot becomes an oval for 5 seconds before clearing up.
Yes, the pitch get's duller when I push my bolt to it so it's contacting the Riflekuhl and I'll turn off my ear pro. The bad news is other fellow shooters may have electronic ear pro and I'm trying to be "mindful" and respectful of all around me. Running my riflekuhl at the range during a hot session is kind of like having a newborn cry in a movie theater.
I run electronic ear pro, and I don't really notice my RifleKuhl when it's running unless I am within a few feet of it. I assume the exact model of ear pro you're wearing plays into how much it pick up the noise.
