So who picked one up? Hows it working out and what do you think...Have they finally got it right? What do you think of the accuracy? Not worried about the cost, just dont want another damn useless chrony on the shelf...Best one I've had so far is a CED M2. Was really looking forward to the Lab Radar; but dont think it's going to happen anytime soon...Looked good at shot though

I just ordered one this am from midway. I'll def get back with my results. I have been looking at a ton of chronographs, I decided to go with the MS V3 because of all the reviews, ease of setup, small compact. I hope it works well for me and my buddies. I'll post my thoughts after I use it.

Midway has them AS OF NOW.

bought one V1 from brownels( theyre now discontinued) a brother here sold me V2 i return V1 to brownells..i called magneto since im from hawaii (supresor not allowed) a guy there said i dont need V3 not even V2. im good with V1 when i mentioned i have a lot mtu's barrel he told me the V1 will work but if you can get a deal on V2 go for it, it will do everything what v1 can plus more specialy on bigger barrel.. i got V2 cheaper than V1.. i think ill stick to V2 for a while:)

I have had a V3 for about three weeks now as I got it from Magnetospeed directly. I have had a chrony, a CED, and now this Magnetospeed. I love the concept as it makes it so much easier on the range to not have to walk back and forth to get the screen correct to my target while there are people on the range...a pain in the butt. it did take some getting used to getting the blade correct from the barrel. I had some mental issues figuring out the spaces between a small AR barrel and a Suppressor on a bolt gun but once I got my head out of my fourth point of contact I got it figured out. Once you get it set-up and working correctly it works like a dream. But, when they say the barrel and the blade have to be within .125 to no more than .25" away they mean it.

I have been working to also understand the sensitivity settings to get it correct. I am definitely seeing some differences in FPS between what I had with the CED but I did always notice when using the CED readings with ballistic programs that it always seemed I was 75 to 100 fps slow. Now the readings from the Magnetospeed are matching the differences...this will be tested more as I get used to the V3

Finally got what right? Are you saying you had problems with a previous model? I have been using the V1 with excellent results.

I had the chance to give the V3 a workout out at the range today. Ran 20 rounds through my TAC 300 and it registered every shot with consistent results. First 8 shots had an SD of 4+ (2,880 FPS) then the FPS gradually increased as the chamber warmed up. Was shooting 208 AMAX with 72.0 gr. of IMR 7828 SSC. Last four shots were 18 to 20 fps faster and most likely the result of the temperature sensitivity of the powder. The readings on the V3 were within the same FPS range as measured with my Oehler 35P. The unit was easy to set up and use. Definitely worth the money.

This is my first one and played with it last night. Having some issues with trying to get the straps set up correctly, but probably as JStarsz says....need a new head perspective!! I think once I get if figured and able to go to the range...... I will not regret this decision at all!

thanks...that was one of my main concern how it compared to the oehler.

My only gripe with my V2 is that the barrel attachment setup is a little crude. Seems like more thought could be put into it especially for tapered barrels. That said, it works, and the V3 seems to improve upon just about everything. I wouldn't trade a V2 in on one, though. Not enough practical difference. The V2 is great.
