I Da ho
yesterday I went out to test a bunch of things. like usual documenting which rounds associated with which shot on the magneto all the way up to my last set. at shot #93 on the magneto I proceeded to shoot my last 10 rounds + 2 randoms I found in my bag for a total of 105 shots for the day. it was getting late so I quickly packed up went home. at home plugged the magnetospeed into my tablet like a I've done many times before. download set and only 5 shots registered. um WHAT!!! download again... 5 shots.
where the fuck did the first 100 shots go? does the Magnetospeed reset at 100 shots?

I've never actually shot that many round over it at one time before.

There is nothing in the manual regarding capacity of the display unit. I am sure it is more than 100 since it uses an SD card.

Did you inadvertently archive the data. There is a file called log.csv that is supposed to be there. You may want to open that in Excel and see if the data is there

it's the sporter version so no SD card or accessing files. basically use their app to download over the little audio jack adapter.

I couldnt find any reference to a shot max either.

I have an email in to tech support on this.

this sum bullshit.

One thing that help me was getting a high quality audio cable with good plug ends. The cables the supply seem to were out very quickly.
I've never had a problem with the adapter or cable. the app will will tell me if it's not communicating. it's not a communication problem. It's only registering 5 shots total out of 105. so either I'm missing some kind of page 2 or they gone.

Did the shots register when using the MS? I have been on mine when I look up and see the damn thing is not recording a velo all the sudden.
I watched and made notes on shots all the way up to shot #93 on the display which was the start of my last string of 10.
#1-5 39.7gr
#6-10 39.8gr
.
.
.
#93-

I kinda stopped watching it on the last mag as these weren't really part of the test and honestly didnt matter if they registered. and I didn't go back and check after I shot them, just packed up and left.

Never shot that many rounds over mine or kept the log going, but interesting for sure. I may go slap it on the deuce deuce and see if it deletes at 100

Only place I can find mention of it, but says 99 max then resets to 0.

🤦‍♂️ FUCKME thats retarded. why in the fuck would they make it reset? I can see overwriting but a fucking hard reset ?!?!?!

seems like kinda important information that they would put in the manual or on the website or somewhere. where did Midway even come up with that? i couldnt find it anywhere.

how many does the V3 hold? aside from this newly discovered limitation the sporter does everything I need it to.
Not sure on the max for one series but you can make multiple series and I guess you are limited by the size of the sd card if you dont care to be on series #4,372 and scrolling through all of em.
I always copied them to the computer and cleaned the card for a clean slate the next session.

I think I ran my first 125 through a barrel over my v3 back in the day, hadent gotten close to that in one series otherwise before I sold it and went labradar

I believe I also heard of the 99 shot limit in an ultimate reloader video. Didn't even think of what might happen if you went over. I'd be curious to slap the v3 on the 22lr and see what happens all in one series.

its a bummer that they dont advertise or even mention it anywhere. i had spent a lot of time with a bunch of different loads, seating depths, neck tensions, headspaces. im more pissed at the loss of information working up a load to get this rifle dialed in than anything. at least it was only a manbun and not my PRC.
