So I have a few questions about primers first off I am running an AR-10 and using Fed-210 primers am I asking for a slam fire? Secondly if I switch primers what would the effect of magnum primers be.. (190gr bullet and imr4320 powder)

Would magnum primers shift my pressure curve slightly? Is there a chance of possibly igniting more powder initially and increasing the dwell time at peak pressure to gain velocity through efficiency or am I just going to spike pressures and have to reduce the load to keep from blowing chunks of bcg through my magwell? The load I am running is not hot as I have worked my down in a hunt for accuracy and I dont want a hot load but I am always down for efficiency and I am a nerd for ballistics technical knowledge.

Any harm in trying magnum primers for .308?

I am not asking if magnums will be less likely to slam fire. I am curious how they affect the pressure curve. Do they tend to shift the curve or just all around increase pressure

I am however curious if fed210s are inherently risky with slam fires... I should have been more clear that the two topics are not directly connected

I have used WLRM primers in 308Win with no ill effects but not ideal outcomes. In given charge weight mag primers gave about 30FPS more but the ES/SD was higher than std primers. Mid-range loads so no pressure issues noted from a bolt gun.
