I just order a Remington 5R Mil-Spec 300 Win Mag. I’ve looked for an affordable bottom metal. With CDI closed and PT&G hard to deal with. I’m wondering if Magpul would be a good option.
Anyone try them

I ran the magpul, in both long and short action. With minor filing on the bottom metal, I made the both fit very nice, and function very smooth, in Bell and Carlson stocks. Only other I own is CDI, so I dont have much to compare to; but I would say for the money, they work great. I'm still using a short action model to this day without issue.
Update: My rifle came in. My Magpul detachable bottom metal came in. I got it installed in my rifle. So far I’m happy with it. Real happy it only cost 75.00 with a 5 round magazine. If anything changes I’ll update.

Sorry I didn’t mean to ignore you I was trying to find one in stock. Without any luck I might add. I’ll keep looking because I would like to go to steel.
I just got two Remington stocks back from Heritage Arms in Colorado. The bottom metal and the CNC inletting ere $250 per gun and they do a great jobs. Photos are in a new post on another thread.
