Question...

Just picked up a new ACOG TA31H and I was prepared for the lack of eye relief, but didn't take into consideration that I have an A2 Fixed Stock on the gun. I dig the stock but it is only a 50$ part and the optic is worth more than that so I am looking at putting a MAGPUL UBR to get me little close to scope as I have it all the way back on the rail and I still find myself reaching. This would also allow the gun to balance out a bit better. Anyone done this.

I am running an 18in Rifle length, shoots like a dream on the standard A2 Stock, spring and buffer. I dont really want to have to buy a bunch of different springs and buffers on top of a 200$+ stock.

Anyone make any suggestions or go down this road before?

BTW......I do not run the gun suppressed, and .223 reloads, rarely shoot Nato through the gun. I have a Carbine AR that I can swap lowers and try it out. I just wondering if anyone rand down this road already.

Thanks alot biner, I am going to sight in the ACOG tomorrow after work. I will bring along the other AR and swap lowers and see how she cycles. If she runs a magazine or 2 without issues I will start setting aside money for the UBR. I think it will balance the Rifle nicely, I have a DD 13.4 rail on it and it is a little front heavy.

I had a UBR for a little while and it was too heavy for my liking. I swapped it out for the CTR stock and it feels alot better to me. also, with the UBR it was a little awkward because while the stock was collapsable, the cheek piece was stationary. it just didnt feel right to me, but each person is different of course, some people love the UBR.
