Re: Make an adjustable gas block from a standard one?
Yes. I did a similar mod to the stock gas block on my AR10-T. Its a little different than the one AXEMAN posted as the block on the AR10-T couldn't be drilled from the side. I removed the gas block and had to drill straight up through the gas port from the underside. This meant I had to drill through the gas tube so I used a small diameter set screw to retain as much mechanical integrity of the tube as possible. I used blue loctite to hold the position but still allow adjustment in the future if necessary. I must say I'm pretty happy with it. Its been about 6 months now and no problems. The ability to regulate the gas pressure on my AR10-T really tamed the recoil impulse.
