Pete Buttigieg Is a National Hero ... in Malta
The Maltese are already making plans for what they will do if their favorite son’s son, Pete Buttigieg, is elected as the next U.S. president.
Some of the most friendly people on earth.
Went there for the Bush/Gorbachev talks circa 1989/90 time frame.
Got to sit day after day with a Maltese police officer providing security for the temp WH comms section.
He had his wife cook me all sorts of great Malta food, only name I remember of one dish was "Welsh Rarebit"

Went through one of the craziest maritime storms Id ever experienced there. Hurricane force winds. Thought the island was going to tip over ala Hank Johnson.
We still share yearly Christmas cards.
Beautiful country, great WWII history, Id go back in a minute.
Back to Pennsylvania now, there aint a deer anywhere on Malta Im guessing.
