I would look at the PRS tripod, platypus here on the hide makes and sells them. The small one would be right up your alley. They now have a quick detach plate system that would let you swap out the rifle rest with your spotter quickly. Id give him a shout to see what he can do for ya.

If you want more versatility in height/adjustment, the Manfrotto 190 is a good option. Several places have a tripod/head combo kit for just over $200. You can adjust it to go prone, no problem or use it standing.

I believe PRS uses Slik tripods which are very nice also. Light weight and not too expensive.
