Went to my sons house to eat steaks for my 60th birthday, nice.
Got some new reloading supplies, awsome time had 4 generations there.
Now for the bad news.
Son started running some 38 loads on his dillon and had problems .
Mangeled cases not fitting in case checker.
I forgot to take a picture but cases had bulges.
Had been set with previous known 158g load.
I started with a spent case, die 1 deprime and fl size, fit in gauge .
Next ran through prime and powder empty, belled the case.
Seated and crimped bullet, hammered shit bulged and would not load in gauge?
Long story but he had got some cast bullets 1000, that had not been sized and didn't notice.
Ran a plated bullet no problems noted fit gauge, not charged or primed for safety.
Do you guys think the seating and or crimp die may be ruined?
About 20 rounds ran before he checked anything.
I guess the emberasment will last a while.
I normally run one dud no prime or powder first , anal I guess.
Don't know if dies are dammaged?
