Manners Mini chassis question

I will be receiving the MCS-t stock shortly and wanted to try their set up out. Great people and great products thats why i continue to keep buying their stocks. I got the GAP molded in camo and looking forward to checking it out.
I will be building either a 22-250 AI or a 243 AI and shoot the heavier bullets. Has anyone here had any experiance with this setup and had any problems feeding an AI out of this type setup. Also i do not have an action for it yet but do have a barrel blank. If i went and used a Remington does it need any modifications to be able to use the mags. I am assuming a custom would just bolt in and you could just run with it. Also are pillars installed and still used when using the mini chassis?

If loaded to standard AI no mods should be needed. If you pull front plate of mags or use alpha mags and load them out real long you will have to get the AW cut or notch the receiver. there is a Thread on both.

^ +1 to what GGN stated. My experience with the 22.250AI is no mods needed using standard AI mags. I prefer the Accurate Mags without the front plate which affords plenty of room for the 75gr A-max.

I use thier Mini-Chassis with an M2008 and shoot a 6.5 Lapua Improved in staggered fed AIAW mags with not a problem since day one. Manners wouldnt confirm this, but my rifle can use AICS or AIAW mags interchangeably without modification. (Granted the breeching ring in an M2008 is set-up for double stacked mags).

Deppending on the magazines you feed from, the lips are goin to require some attention from you to get the correct height, angle and height of the fallower if you want your bolt to stop on an empty mag or not.

Also, in reguards to the pillars... The Mini Chassis is built so that the bottom metal and the mating surface for the action is one peice of metal... No pillars needed. Bolt it in and call it good.
