Im thinking of purchasing a Manners t2 for my SPS Tactical. Im looking at buying from stockysstocks, and notice they include 2 aluminum pillars. Now my question is is it necessary/ high preferable to pillar bed this? And if so, is it hard? Ive never done this myself before, but dont want to pay alot for a smith to do it. Thanks in advance !!, Evan

Pillars definitely necessary. Id check with stockys but I think they install the pillars already. I wouldn't do it yourself. Most smiths will install the pillars and glass bed somewhere around $200. Definitely worth it

You could buy the stock from Stocky's and send it to Manners. Purchase the mini stock from them and they'll install it at no additional charge for you. Then you'll know it's done perfectly. (and save some smithing fees.)

Best decision I ever made for my 700 was going with the Manners T5A with mini-chassis. I also was into buying from Stockys and could not find exactly what I wanted and considered taking what was available (and being not happy really but doing it anyway) nd then I found Euro Optic had them and had literally exactly what I wanted (And would have ordered custom if I could have waited 26+ weeks) and they had two different camo patterns available in my T5A preference, and both of them I liked, so I figured I was getting lucky I could choose between the two.

Best decision I ever made with my 700. MCS T5A DBM AAC-SD ftmfw :)
