Has anyone had a Maremma? What are they like? Do they get along with other dogs?
 
I've had one, but we called them Alpacas.
 
Like any livestock working dog breed, they need lots of daily outdoor exercise, and can be a bit stubborn.
 
Aren't all large breed dogs like that pretty tame and get along well with other people and dogs when kept as a family pet and not just a work dog?
