Hello all,

Just joined cause I have questions (guns, optics, thermal, ect...probably the standard stuff... Also looking to get into some long range shooting and some .22lr competitions.

I've got almost everything in 6.5 CM cause it's so hot right now. It's just a pain to find a place to really get it out there so I'm looking at a CZ 457 in .22lr to practice wind and fundamentals...and hope they transfer to longer range. Also, gotten into a bit of hog hunting when an opportunity arrives.

If anyone has advice on thermals or .22lr even just the right thread to look in it would be appreciated.

good luck on the hog hunt . and welcome from delaware
depending on what you want to do a 22lr falls like a brick have seen people shooting them at 600 yards but cannot tell you if they hit anything or not I could not even hear the hits if there were any I can only assume it could do it , but its more like an artillery piece at that range with 110 inches of drop at least from ours . I do like my cz 457 varmint mtr but have only shot it out to 200 yards so far my scope runs out of elevation at that range hoping the new 15 moa will help a little getting further out

Almost exactly what I want to do with 22lr! What scope do you use?

right now the sightron sIII 10x50x60 30mm just bought the arkin 6x24x50 34mm wanted another delta stryker 5x50x56 34mm which I love but I am not paying 1600 for a scope for a 800 dollar 22lr just to plink around with . besides I need one already need another for another gun .
