Marine 'Mocked' For Low IQ, Outwits Most College Grads In Intelligence Test!

I don't know what "generation" someone 19 is, but based on my sample size of one, and the kid that works for me I have come to the conclusion.

We

Are

Doomed.

This kid is a good kid, but could not think his way out of a paper bag.

Example:

Yesterday I am running around the place doing this that and the other, because some dumb fuck decided to turn the clocks back I am starving. I generally get to work at 5 and eat at 11, kid gets there at 12. My stomach thinks 10 is 11 and I am just grazing on junk laying around the office. I let a guy on the roof, tell him I am too old to go up there and stupid to just hang out in the hall, you know where my office is check in when you are finished.

Guy is still on the roof, and I tell my kid, hay so and so is on the roof, he is to check in before he leaves, I NEED DETAILS on what he found up there AND WHAT HIS PLANS ARE going forward. OK.

I zip to Mc Death, and zoom back again, gone a total of 15min. Sitting at the desk unpacking "lunch" and I am just waiting. He is babbling about this or that. Still waiting. Finish the food, now take the pills before I start running again....still no report.

So toss my stuff in the trash, and go to the bathroom to empty the cup with leftover pop and ice, so what did the internet guy say.

Oh yea I forgot.....really. Ok what did he say. He aahh...said he did not ahhh find anything. ?!?!? really what was he looking for......Ahhh, he did not find what he was looking for up there. What was that........I don't know.

Could it be that he determined the existing radio would not push the band width and moving them to the fiber back bone would be the way we need to do it.

YEA THAT WAS IT.

Then why did you say he could not find what he was looking for.

Blank look

These kids can't think, and above even that, they can't be bothered to listen.

I am getting ready to go count fucking phones because I don't trust the numbers he gave me.

Most colleges today = Terrorism and leftist radicalism indoctrination centers and echo chambers. And many are already suffering from a lack of new students, especially young white and Asian males, being suckered in to be indoctrinated, but now with all the pro-Hamas shit going down on their campuses, even MORE people are leaving because they realized what these places breed.

The only reason why a patriotic Marine would even be on a college campus these days would be to look for and beat the shit out of some crusty ANTIFA/DSA clown who had been caught on camera defacing a US and Corps flag outside the recruiting center downtown that the Marine is working in.

If the phd didn't have all of her education she wouldn't crack 100. IQ is a person's ability and education can enhance that through expanded vocabulary and experience. If you watch hand eye coordination and pattern recognition and response times you will see how IQ breaks down fairly easy.
Best way to improve IQ is nutrition and exercise along with education

I fired a guy last Friday for the same type of thing. Couldn't think or take initiative on his own, but had an opinion about everything he knew nothing about. The other guys were done with him as well and the insults were getting real, not just hard teasing. So out the door he goes. I found him another job before I let him go. He didn't take it but went back home to live with his parents and look for a "better job", which is interesting because his parents wanted him out of the house. The kid was smart, but not intelligent. Hopefully some age and hard knocks will get him where he needs to be to meaningfully contribute to this world.

Woke cult brainwashing actually DECREASES IQ in who otherwise would be decently smart individuals. It ALWAYS seems to be the "highly educated" professors, lawyers, and even medical doctors that fall for those huge spirituality and New Age scams, often shelling out tens of thousands of dollars for useless "energy healing" sessions or nutrient powders of suspicious and potentially harmful nature. Some get so smitten by these fraudsters calling themselves gurus that they sacrifice everything to be within the orbit of the guru's personal circle, only to end up as a sex slave or a drone to attract newcomers into the cult.

Anyone who’s operated in the real world for the last 20 years knows that college is a massive scam.

Nothing here is even mildly surprising, much less shocking.

In general I agree with you. I also agree it is 90% very left leaning even at a Jesuit school.

If you go in with a clear rock solid goal, and that goal requires a college education (medical field for example) you really have little choice.

This is what the daughter in law did, she just kept her mouth shut and head down. She, still being a kid bitches about the amount of work she is doing when the older Dr's are never there. It is not fair. I told her, this is called paying your dues, one day you will be a 50 yr old Dr. and make some 26 yr old kid do the exact same things you are doing now. Just the way the world works. I know it sucks, but look at it this way you car rolling in 6 figures at 26, and not many people your age can swing that. And you have fantastic medical insurance. My son just had to have his shoulder rebuilt (told him lifting that kind of weight would bite him in his ass, but what do I know). So not one dime out of pocket.

But in general yes I agree.

A favorite story of mine in regards to college students and book smart... many many years ago now, one night I got flagged down in a university parking lot by a young man. He was in a suit. Looking around, there were 4 young men in suits, and 4 young women in fancy dresses. They were parked one car in at the end of a row, nose in, with the hood up. When I rolled my window down he asked me if I happened to have "really long jumper cables"? Their battery was dead but no way to reach anything with their jumper cables. He said they were very late for some event.

I asked about putting the car in neutral and pushing it out of the spot? No go with no power. I told them, alright, hold on. I turned my truck around and dug out my jumper cables. I opened my hood and hooked my cables to my battery. I then walked over and hooked my cables to theirs. 8 minds blown. You'd have though I just levitated in mid air or something by the looks on their faces. They were dumbfounded. The only plus side and hope for them was I could tell how terribly embarrassed they were. The kid said "Oh my God, I can't believe we didn't think of that. We've been stuck here for almost two hours. We had a few other people stop with jumper cables but they were all too short. I can't believe we didn't think of that."

That was over 20 years ago, they're even dumber now.

You can watch iq's drop as kids age directly associated with public education. Another reason the feds board of education needs to be abolished.

This x100. Go there for some useful skill related courses they got going from time to time and give these leftist bitches a huge reality check by making their Cinderella night only to dump them once their narcissism starts to show. 😂

Lol at college, again. I really can’t lol at college enough.

My SIL hates when I’m around because I always tell my nieces and nephews to learn a trade or a skill, and lol at people with college debt like I do.

From the article:
What's notable, and pay attention, Gen-Zers - you don't have to go $100k in student debt for a degree that might not improve your intelligence.

Common mistake that almost everyone makes is that more education improves intelligence. More education improves your education. Intelligence is (generally) genetic and cannot be improved upon. You either have it or you don't.

Stupidity vs ignorance.

Intelligence is your ability to learn, to make inference. If you have little intelligence, you are stupid.
Education merely exposes you to new or different information. If you have little education, you are ignorant, uninformed.

Education does not improve stupidity.

Of course the chinaman has the highest IQ

2 point deviation from the Marine. Basically 0.

Having worked with the Chinese and Indians I assure you neither has a meaningful high IQ when it's coupled with every terrible trait imaginable.

Zero self starting thought or critical thinking, it's like speaking to a smart toddler.

College is the best way I know of to create generational poverty for kids these days.

People who make more per hour than most college grads:

1. Me
2. The women who eat my ass
3. The guys who pump my septic once a year
4. My garbage collector
5. My mechanic
6. My grass cutter person
7. The AC guy
8. The produce seller at the farmers market
9. The guys at my lumber mill
10. The guys who deliver furniture

This is absolutely not true. Most high school level jobs max out around 50k-65k. The tradesmen who make 80+ are also working insane hours, traveling constantly and destroying their bodies while always being too hot, too cold and generally uncomfortable.

In the trades you also work with the worst humans. They're all drunks, on drugs, emotionally immature with nothing interesting going on in their lives and generally boring people overall. They generally have never found anything to be passionate for.

There's a few good tradesmen who take their jobs seriously but for the most part it's just people who need a job doing whatever.

Not even close to the truth in my industry, aside from the not working in a climate controlled office, and my industry is one of numerous that are similar.

I've lived in and around a college town for 30+ years, and I have the same opinion now as I did back then.....just because someone is in college doesn't mean they're fucking smart.

Another thing, my wife has a degree, and I make more money than she does, and I'm just a CNC Operator with a high school Dip-loma.

Tell me that you weren't any good at whatever your trade was, without telling me that you weren't any good. Nobody is saying that you'll be making $100k+ right out of high school. Nor will you right out of college with your liberal arts degree.

IME most tradesmen are solid. It’s the general labor that are the bottom of the barrel.

$50-$60k goes a lot farther when you’re not paying down student loans. I invested that money in tools, equipment, and knowledge.

$50-$60k is a non-union south east tradesman’s wages.

Source: worked in trades for 19 years concurrent with a more demanding profession. Plan to start taking classes to become a general contractor since I need something to do in my retirement besides build furniture and complete small repairs.

I think you're conflating "high school jobs" with "high school educations".

I never went above a HS "education", and yet somehow, I ended up in a high level engineering position making a very high salary.

Your conflation/confusion is not surprising, many are made today (thanks to the media) and people don't even realize it. Such as:

Education = intelligence (You can educate a moron, it doesn't make them intelligent)

Intelligence = wisdom (You can be very intelligent and still make unwise decisions; how many inventors died broke?)

Cost = Price ("We're going to lower the "cost" of health care" when in reality what they're saying is that they are going to lower the "price" someone pays, but not address the actual costs of healthcare, like over regulation).

Tax brackets = tax revenue (if we tax the higher tax brackets, we'll get more tax revenue, which is completely backwards)

minimum wage = living wage (one is some random feel good number for low/no skilled workers, the other is a what is needed for a family of four with a single income)

lower prices = less scarcity/more availability (which is bullshit, since no company is going to make something they make less profit on, over something more profitable, so forcing a lower price makes the item more scarce; like rent price controls)

Source: Common, basic economics 101, and listening very carefully to the misworded phrasing of politicians and the media trying to sell a "solution" (there are no "solutions", only trade offs) to the taxpayer.

ETA: BTW, while separating from the USMC I was required to take an IQ test for a job placement program as part of TAPs (Transition Assistance Program). I scored in the top 4.5% of the US.

But that isn't what got me to where I am today. Initiative, discipline, and a desire to understand what I was working on (as well as branching out into as many adjacent areas to get a very rounded skill set), is what got me there.

As an side, for those interested in this topic of intelligence versus education, I'd recommend reading/listening to this book:

It's kind of hard to hard to argue with hard, factual, data...and that intelligence (range) trumps education (specialization) every time. You're either a frog (specialized), or a bird (range/generalization/broadly skilled). But being both is what makes you successful. Most people today are frogs.

"Dont judge a book by its cover" and all that.. but literally just on first glance - you can look at number 1, 2, and 3(after actual IQ scores are displayed in order)and tell they're well-adjusted people that don't give off any woke vibes. While 4, 5, and 6 obviously are woketards and consequently will vastly overestimate themselves and are very likely overeducated beyond their intelligence.
Example- dumb bitch bragging about being a cog in the covid hoax machine.

College is very imporatant for professional licensure type jobs....but only then if the pay of said licensure job is worth it. Made it clear to my kids that they wouldn't go to college without a clear specific job goal that was worth the cost of college and if they decided to change the goal to anything with liberal arts they were on their own and owed me for accrued expenses. They all chose well, college or not. Kids today rarely get hard nosed guidance....just the lie that you have to have college for a job when average pay for all 4 year degrees combined is 36-39K.

(1) College is a 100% scam. Its a 1+ Trillion dollar industry larger than the economy of most nations except the very largest.
(2) The cost of college has skyrocketed while the return (or "education" if you will) has plummeted. The cost adjusted for inflation is like 762% since 1963 (again ALREADY adjusted for buyin power of the dollar). Plus, with all the federal loans, they taxpayer subsidizes this gigantic wealth transfer to already wealthy institutions (again, endowments of US colleges is just under 1 Trillion--aka the money they have in the bank).
(3) We encourage everyone "smart" to go to college. But our society thinks being smart is uncool. Everyone kicks the smart kids ass in school (ask me how I know) So no one works at being smart except the very dedicated. Thus only the well off or ambitous go to college, it has nothing to do with IQ. Its a status symbol for people who got participation trophies.
(4) Ivy leagues are the worst. With crazy admission requirements, only the very smart or very connected get admitted, so of course their graduate do well, they would have done well anyway. The ivy league just allows you to make connections for future business.
(5) Even if you "Need" college for some sort of professional education (say medical doctor or engineer) the cost is ASTRONOMICAL and forces you to pay back to the government and universities huge amounts of your labor.

Why the hell do you care what I think?
I have multiple degrees including a PhD.
I teach at a major University.
I have never taken a single class in my subject matter that I teach. I am completely self-taught. My degree is in another (slightly related field). Think about that--people pay me to impart knowledge I learned FOR FREE. (The really scary part is now working in medicine, I'm picking up medicine....)

Ask yourself why did it cost so much less in the past and where is my money going? Its not going to education: No one learns Greek or Latin and we barely learn math and history. Well computers!! Yeah we had computers back in the day too and the cost still goes up. Its a 100% scam to steal money from the public by fooling them into thinking you get an education. It funds these stupid administrators and boosters while providing bread and circuses to the masses.

I woulda laughed at someone tellming me to go to community college back in the day. Now? its 1/10th the cost. Get your two years there and pay for your degree if you need it. No one looks at your transcript and sees you went to CC for 2 years.

Otherwise learn a skill. This system is broken and fucking us all. Badly.

I've had lots of sharp workers, particularly out of the military back in the day. My brothers are at least as smart as me, and none of them have PhDs, one is just a computer teacher, the other is a minister. Education!=IQ Especially these days, its impossible to fail unless you work at it (like just not show up). We've sucked merit out of life and now even meritocracy is 'racist'.

Fuck i need a drink after this thread.

I work with many people who are, on paper, very intelligent. PhDs in math, physics, computer science, statistics from top Universities. You are not completing a PhD in Math, especially from MIT, Caltech, Princeton, without being quite gifted. Probably not from a regular state school, either. And in these subjects, they are quite competent, and the results are easily quantifiable.

But then, there are other times that really make you wonder. For instance, more than a few of them had questions about the location of our company retreat, because it was referred to as "Foo Bar, <address>" instead of "Foo Bar Resort, <address>". They were quite concerned with this, even though the addresses and pictures matched. And so a clarification email had to be sent out.

Most of the time, I'm pretty sure I'm functionally retarded and if someone makes a compliment towards my intelligence, I make sure to correct them that "I just have a single, very niche skill, that happens to be in demand."

That's to say, I think intelligence is more nuanced than we typically describe, and as has been mentioned, intelligence and education aren't always the same. I think that the more focused, specific and niche education tends to narrow people's focus such that other areas are neglected (for example: my coworkers).

And while some less formally educated folks may have had no issue with the directions to the company retreat, it's a virtual guarantee that they would not be able to provide me with a proof of the existence of countably infinite sets, or that in complex analysis, parallel lines intersect at infinity, whereas these would be child's play for my coworkers.

Meh, maybe in some cases, there are some insane fields people get doctorates in that have zero application outside of an education setting.

My wife is in psychology, you can't work in the field without the higher level degrees and the higher the degrees, the harder cases you can work, the more you can bill.

Doctorate earners have their place. So do hammer swingers. Neither want to do the other's job and pay good money to each other for what they do, either directly or indirectly, but the world moves forward by the efforts of both and stagnates without them.

It's the middle level workers that are the real "Push Here Dummy" chumps, and they typically hold BA/BS degrees in something that was their "passion", but doesn't pay fuck-all in the working world. If you have a degree and are an hourly wage "coffee barista" or something similar, you're a fucking idiot.

The big secret to earning a lot of money is finding something very few can do or alternatively something very few want to do for a living, and get real good at that. It's why septic pumpers make bank, as do top level salesmen. One nobody else wants to do, the other very few can do. I suck at both - I gag uncontrollably at the smell of sewage and can't sell for shit because I quite frankly hate most other people. I at least found a job line most people don't want to do, where it's a high probability that people could die if I fuck up just once at work and I have to do it flawlessly at 3am in a blizzard, so they pay me a good amount to do it.

Agree. What I’ll add to this is as the population gets dumber, the amount of things people can’t do has increased. I get paid $40 an hour to do simple things that your average homeowners could knock out 10 years ago. I’m talking incredibly simple shit.

Replacing trim
Replacing boards in a deck
Building a table frame (wooden rectangle)
Replacing hinges on a fence gate

Just incredibly simple stuff.

My friend cleared an extra 30k last year doing chimney sweeping and snaking drains. Easy stuff.

Of course the chinaman has the highest IQ

And to second @TacticalTaco 's post...

Exclusively book smarts for a lot of those Indians and Chinese who came here through various visa and exchange student programs. Their "high IQs" are basically limited to being able to parrot out what they read for hours in textbooks and follow protocol without thinking outside the box or questioning things that may potentially go wrong. Socially, a lot of these folks have ZERO interpersonal communication skills or sense of basic etiquette. Outside the academic setting, they will often come off as awkward or downright creepy and predatory to people they interact with because they had NEVER been put in social situations in their whole lives prior and were exclusively told by their parents and teachers to "study, study, and get good grades". Not a healthy upbringing or way to live at all...

If that bunch in OP's article were to have a broken down van on a car trip and get stranded in the wilderness, the Marine would be the sole leader of the group, making sure that they survive and get out of the ordeal in one piece. Hands down. He is probably the ONLY one in that group who can accomplish that, and STILL, one or two especially stupid mooks might rebel against his advice, argue with him thinking that they know more because they are "smarter", wander off into the wilderness alone and get eaten by wild animals or drown in a river.

Old man yelling at cloud out.
Everything is bigger, better and more expensive nowadays.

A “starter” home has at least three bedrooms with granite countertops, nine foot ceilings, an HOA and a two car garage. $50k vehicles are the norm and broke MF’ers are regularly going out for brunch and drinking $7 lattes.

Why would college be any different?

Some of the dumbest mother fuckers in the country are the wealthiest. And they are running the country.
Example: AOC, Maxine Waters, Hank Johnson (Guam is going to flip over) and the list goes on
