interesting enough there are so many politicians that have never served a day in their life that have that opinion of the military. Somethings never change with time.

It's funny that the teeny-boppers today have pretty much the same attitude. The military is sending me to get my MBA right now (it's a nice break). There are actually several prior and active students in my program, and you would be surprised at how quick some of our ideas are shot down by other students because they believe we don't understand business, because we have not had "real" jobs. It's kinda funny to me because I had five years of substantial business experience before giving up my civilian career (regional sales manager) choosing to go active duty from the reserves after 9-11 (as an E-4). Don't get me wrong many of my classmates get it, but some, especially the younger ones have no clue. I find John Glenn's speech very appropriate...

Doing the cleanup for the failed political mess that got them there.

A friend of mine is leaving for Marjah at the end of August. He is driving back from Pendleton to hear as I type. Be good to see him home from High Altitude training.
