Mark II BTV ammo compatability

Since the e reciever is designed to use up to the 22mag so will my Mark II BTV 22lr work fine with the 22 mag? Sorry for my ignorance but will I need a a diff mag or barrel? I did search but I've not found any info on this subject. I do know off Savages web site the BTVS in 22lr and BTVS in 22mag have diff sku's but everything else is the same spec wise

What are you trying to do, fire a 22 WMR in a 22 LR chamber or convert a 22 LR into a 22 WMR? The cartridges are not interchangable at all. The magnum case is larger in diameter, longer and has a larger diameter rim. The 22 WMR will not chamber in a 22 LR. If you attempt to fire a 22 LR in a 22 WMR chamber, you'll end up with a ruptured case and some hot gas back in your face.
