Gunsmithing Marking caliber on left handed rifle barrel

Getting ready to mark this and it dawned on me a right handed rifle is marked on the left with the name serial etc . Should the left handed rifle be a mirror image ?
We don't have a lefty in stock and looking online factory Remingtons look marked on the left side.

It is personal preference only. Mark it where you want. Or ask the customer where they want it marked.

Good idea and I guessing he will ask what I think ? It make sense to be marked opposite the right hand rifle just didn't know if there's another reason it shouldn't .
Over thinking it I guess.
