    Hey all,
Just noticed some marks on the outside of my scope tube that are down to bare aluminum. From a cosmetic stand point I could give a rats ass because battle scars for the win! However, should I be concerned about the bare metal from a corrosion stand point, etc? Not trying to over think anything but don't want to ignore a potential problem if I can nip it in the bud. Thanks for the advice.

Do you regularly immerse the scope in salt water/spray?
@OREGUN Ha ha! No, I do not. I was going to add that I am 5 hours from the ocean. I assume I am good then? I only asked because in my industry preventive maintenance is "I broke this and need it back tomorrow!" (Yeah, you and everybody else!). I hate that attitude and like to be proactive in taking care of my gear... Marks not withstanding of course! Thanks for the reassurance!

Very important questions. Hello kitty or my little pony bandaid? How long does it take to heal? Is it okay to use while healing? Will it leave any permanent scarring?
My little pony for sure! Bronies FTW! 🤣🤣🤣
