Hey guys, brand new here and love the forum. Just wondering if anyone has tried one of these new rifles yet? I was thinking about picking one up just to have around the house to shoot coyotes and maybe a deer or two in the pasture. Can't make my mind up if I want another 308 or a 22-250. I have 3 308's already, no heavy barrels though. I'm not getting this rifle to shoot long range, all of the shots will be 350 yrds or less. Let me know what you think.

The only thing different than the XL7 model is a modified stock to accept the barrel and heavy varmint barrel. If you have another marlin Xl7 rifle just swap barrels like savage rifles. that what I do and after practice you can swap barrels pretty fast.

You can purchase a nice aftermarket barrel for a decent price.
