How hard is it to get a carry permit in Maryland. My wife is looking at taking a job in MD, and I would just like to know how long it takes.

It is pretty much impossible for an average citizen to get a carry permit in MD. Unless your wife has a really "good" reason, she isn't going to get one.

you have a better chance of seeing jesus in downtown baltimore than you would getting a conceal carry permit in maryland...and even he wont be carrying.

That sucks..... We plan on moving to PA, and she'll be commuting into MD. I guess she'll have to leave to LCR at home

This pretty much sums it up. I still carry my NC CCW in my wallet for sentimental reasons, but I leave my Glock at home. You wouldn't believe the ridiculous laws they have in Montgomery County in terms of range time, ammo use, etc. Completely nut-so.

hugo, pa is pretty good to go as far as guns. i got my cc permit in less than a week. i carry just about anywhere. what part of pa are you looking to move to? im right by the md line and i just had an interview for a place in md. so i may be commuting soon too.
