Matrix pro 2 1.2 barrel help

There’s a video on YouTube where a guy moved from a MPA comp to a matrix. Had some slop as well and just centered up and tightened bolts. Following as I’ll be installing my B14R in a matrix pro II very shortly. Thinking 40 inch lbs torque which is what my MPA comp is torqued to currently. Followed by 30 inch lbs on the lug lock

At about 12:50 in the video I’m assuming is what he’s referring to

Unless he’s referring to it having slop after being torqued down. Which would indicate the action screws bottomed out in the action most likely

So you think washers will fix issue?
Your issue if you’re torqued down and the action/chassis aren’t tight is going to be the screws bottomed out. Either installing washers which are supposed to be in there (I believe) or shortening the action screws are your options

The real downside is the front screw on some actions bottom out on the tenon threads. Then you torque it down and jack up the threads. Which can make it difficult to remove the barrel down the road

+1 Vudoo v22 front action screw is a blind hole. Will bottom out if the screw is too long.

In theory you can just shorten the bolt the width of a washer, but it is IMHO its a better idea to have a washer in the assembly.

The recoil lug is fine and all you need is the washers or you could just shorten the screws with a grinder but it takes some work. There should be no slop. I have a couple Vudoos in MPA Matrix Pros and both with 1.2” barrels. No issues.
