Well I'm a total newbie to this but I think the most important piece of equipment in this game might be an actual place to shoot long range. I live in BFE but it is still hard to find a place to shoot 1000 yards. @Frontlinedefenseusa is a super nice range in NC!!! https://frontlinedefenseusa.com/gallery/
Check out the video tour

It was only my second time shooting my rifle at anything other than 100yards. And the 1st time with my new Razor!

My intention was to go down and qualify to use the 1000 yard range. I went to the 500 yard to gather some True-Dope (I think that is what it is called). The Try-Dope from the Hornady App was 2 to 3 tenths off (high)from the muzzel velocity I got from the Hornady American Gunner ammo the week prior(the 1st time shooting to 600 using a different scope).

I thought I had a fairly decent chance of being able to qualify for the 1000 yard range in spite of the differences, new scope and being a newbie.

Went down to take the written test at the range house passed that then up to the 1000 yard range for the true test to see if I could hit anything past the 500 yard True-Dope that I had not nowing how to properly adjust the Hornady App.

I was able to get my hits and estimated the correct Dope out to 1000 yards. The wind made the 1000 yard 1st shot a near miss about 2" to the left with correct elevation. The 2nd round made contact and the red LED hit indicator went off.

It is A nice Range for sure!!! You should check it out for sure.

Frontline is my go to range.. only place I shoot to 1000 at, I kinda have it made and can shoot to 650 yards behind my house.. pretty decent for eastern nc farm land.
