Works fine. Easy change, one and done. 1500 rds through my service rifle without a hitch.

Put one on my old SP-1 a few years back and still going strong.

Yeah, I have one, bought it because I broke a bolt, needed rings for the new one, and its what they had local. Zero issues with it. It doesn't do anything the 3 ring setup doesn't, so I wouldn't seek them out. Solution looking for a problem in my opinion.

I love them! I use them on any rifle I can get them to fit onto, however, they are simply too tight for a couple of rifles, so those get the old 3 ring setup. I have never had problems with or worn out a McFarland ring that I could get to fit on the rifle...the problem is that on 2 rifles, they were just too tight.
Given a choice between the Mcfarland, and 3 ring setup, I would go Mcfarland first, and only use the 3 ring setup if that particular rifle wouldn't work with the Mcfarland ring.
