McMillan A4 stock for a R700 SA. M40A3 spec aside from the single knob on the cheek riser. Six flush cups and a sling stud.

Overall in excellent shape. Minor blemishes captured in photos, look to be from molding process, they are not chips or cracks. Previously bedded for a R700 action and PTG bottom metal. Minor inletting may be required for bottom metal fitment if you plan to use something else. M5 inlet.

Yes, this is for a 700 short action. You could either use the PTG bottom metal (M5 "stealth" model with vertical latch) or you could use a different M5 bottom, you just might need to do some minor sanding to get a good fit.

Did you bed the action before?

I did not personally bed the action but yes, it was bedded to a standard Remington 700 short action with the heavy M40A3 style lug. I have since moved the action to a different stock so I'm selling this one.
