Gunsmithing McMillan A5 Stock

I recently bought a Savage 10FCP McMillan with an A5 stock and was wondering if they use T-Nuts in the stocks to attach their sling studs?

Opposed to what? A metal tapped block?

Did you pull the action to look at the barrel channel?
I can't speak for the Savage 10FCP factory stocks, but I own several McM A5's and you can see the T-nut epoxied in.
