My gun has been at McMillan for a while now so they could make the programs to inlet for the t3 lite and make a stock for my gun. Yesterday it showed up and I wanted to let you guys know that they can inlet for the T3 Lite now, this is a great stock, huge improvement over the factory one.

Specs:
Sako Varmint
marble color, 60% Olive, 20% med tan, 20% black
1" limbsaver

I m not sure on that one, the gun came back all assembled in the new stock. On thier site it says hunting and sporting stocks are 2-2.25 lbs. I can say that I don't notice any significant weight difference in the gun. I will try weighing just the gun without the scope when I have access to a scale, then compare to factory weight.

That would do.

I was just curious.

Part of the reason is that I bought a Manners T4 for my Tikka. Claimed weight on their website is 2.8 lbs. I got the 90% carbon which is supposed to be lighter. It weighs over 4 lbs. Granted, I did get the adjustable LOP which adds some weight, but 4lbs.?

It works fine for prone LR work, but I'm looking for a hunting stock. I may just put it back in the OEM stock for hunting season so I'm not lugging 13 lbs. over mulie and elk terrain.

John

Hi John, That is very heavy if you are over 4 lbs, that is more than what a mcs-t4A stock weighs. Even with the adj spacer system you should not be close to that if it is a 90%. Did you contact the office yet? It sounds like a screw up on our end. Shoot me a PM or give me a buzz and we will find out what is up and get you taken care of asap. Thank you very much,

Tom,

I owe you a public apology. I just re-weighed my stock and it weighs 3.5 lbs as shipped. Still heavier than I'd like, but not as I stated. I must have had stock pack on it or something when I weighed it before. Not sure how I got 4 lbs, but that's what was in my head.

Sorry for the thread derail, but I didn't want to leave this unresolved.
