I have a mdt LSS GEN 2 xl on my f10 308 the question is this, I have a good friend who has a KRG chassis the x Ray can anyone tell me which chassis is more popular. I can’t find any comparisons on the 2 please give any facts if possible, thanks.
Neither would be the most popular. I've seen an equal amount of both.
If he has one then try it and see if you prefer it. Different mounting systems. Different adjustments. Find what works for you and don't switch cause it's what the 'cool kids' are using
Yup...I have handled and shot guns with both chassis and prefer the MDT LSS-XL Gen2 over pretty much everything but another shooter would likely make a different choice. Can't choose a chassis on looks or popularity...gotta fondle them some.
I run a shooting league up in Canada and MDT is one of our big sponsors. This year they sent us a couple LSS GenIIs to put on the pricz table. I never get to win anything since I run the matches but you can be certain I fondle the crap out of anything that comes through my door.
With that being said, I am quite impressed with the GenII. I was never a fan of the GenI LSS but I think the GenII is a great option. The profile of it is very similar to the MPA/XLR (big flat foreend with a little bit of an angle near the magwell). You can attach an RRS rail and choose your own buttstock and pistol grip and there you go. It is a great value option in my opinion.
KRG also makes a very high quality product but you can't choose your grip and buttstock so it really depends on what you want to do.
Confirmed - I really like the fact that I can add the butt stock of my choice and any AR style grip I like. In my case I love the XLR Extreme butt stock and want an Ergo Flat Top Tactical Deluxe grip....I can change stuff at will. Love the mix and match aspect of MDT's stuff.
