MDT or KRG for Tikka?

So I’m looking at pulling my Tikka CTR out of the factory stock and getting a do it all chassis that I could use at matches but also hike with if I was inclined to do so. As such, I need something versatile and not super heavy. So I’ve began considering the MDT ESS and KRG Bravo. I like the Bravo because it’s more affordable ($300 less up here) and is almost like a TRG lite with the Tikka action. What I don’t like is all the plastic and the build quality seems to be lacking compared to the MDT. The ESS seems like a higher quality chassis comparable to a Cadex or MPA, as opposed to the budget oriented Bravo. I’m willing to spend the necessary money to get a chassis that I’ll enjoy for years to come, and I don’t want to buy a budget chassis that I may quickly become tired of. Curious to hear any opinions/thoughts. Also, if you have any other suggestions for chassis’ let me know.

I own both. My KRG’s are X-ray but still same plastic.

I think both are great. The ESS has less flex to it being all aluminum.

I love how adaptable the krg are. You can swap buttstocks/forends etc. The black krg below has a enclosed forend coming for it as we speak.

I will never sell my MDT and the last 2 chassis I bought have been KRG for my GAP and 700 AAC-SD.

I’d pick what you like better. The krg has a full aluminum rail that bolts to the action. The plastic bolts to that. The krg is easily adaptable with arca rails etc.

The ESS is a solid very well built chassis. The krg does flex especially on a Bipod.

I know this doesn’t help much but if I had to sell one it would be a very hard decision on which I like better

I’d personally be comparing the KRG X-ray or whisky to the ESS. To me they seem to be more on the same level.

The bravo is an awesome platform as well and can be paired with parts
From the whiskey or X-ray as well. I just think of the bravo as more of a “stock” like the adjustable HS or B&C. But that is just my observation on the bravo
