I have a RAP in 223. I am completely aware I won’t be able to use my AR mags in the chassis. I ordered the plastic version of the MDT AICS magazine. It sounds like I may need the metal one with extended mag lips after purchasing? Thoughts?

For the Ruger American in 223, we HIGHLY recommend the extended feedlips, metal 223 magazines in our Oryx chassis. The polymer ones MAY work, however, when running the bolt slowly or if there is any tilt to your magazine, the chances of a feeding issue raise exponentially
Additionally, we do offer our LSS-XL Gen2 in the RAP AR magazine well configuration if you'd like to continue using your AR magazines, however, you will have to buy a buttstock (carbine interface) and grip separately.
