Im new to this thread, and the long range game so give me a break when it comes to terminology. I just yesterday received my MDT tac 21 chassis for my Remington 700 5r gen 2 308. Everything was going well during install until i reached where the trigger needs to fit into the barreled action. It states you put the barreled action in the receiver to where the recoil lug is up to the housing, then back the barreled action about 1 inch out, put the selector safety switch into the housing (on safe) and the selector switch should stick out of the safety housing. Then back the barreled action to where the recoil lug is against the housing and the trigger should fall into place. Mine does not. It looks like there isn't enough clearance between the housing and the selector safety switch. It actually put a spur in the housing when i tried to fit it together. The barreled action will not fit into place when the trigger is in (it does with out the trigger) and meets hard resistance (from the selector safety switch on the housing). Can someone please point me in the correct direction.

This install procedure for this chassis was enough for me to swear off its dumb ass design.
Im sure youve already looked these up but just for others fyi

Should start at 6m 15s if this doesnt auto play there once embedded.

Unfortunately i have and in these videos the trigger perfectly snaps/slides in. During my install the trigger selector safety switch hits the housing so much it made a spur and the barreled action with the trigger in it won't push back to where it needs to be (the recoil lug against the housing).

I had one of these and the trigger install is the worst part. Sometimes it would all go together the first try and others it would take several but it will go in. In the end I went to a Timmeny BR trigger without a safety. I can't see what you're saying, maybe some pictures would help.

Attached are the pictures. The 2 labeled normal 1 and normal 2 are the pieces separate (1 showing the recoil lug flush and the other showing the trigger in the barreled receiver and the proper distance in the gap behind it).The two labeled wrong 1 and wrong 2 show the issue i am having. The first showing where the recoil lug stops and meets resistance and the second showing the gap behind the trigger with no gap. The picture labeled spur is where the selector safety switch is hitting and not letting the trigger slide into place or the recoil lug slide into position.

Thanks for the reply guys. Got in contact with MDT and turns out the housing was milled wrong and missing the cut out that gives the safety selector switch room to operate inside the upper housing. I knew I wasn't going insane hahahaha. MDT's customer service was second to none and hands down incredible. They spent more than enough time trying to figure out the issue and are immediately fixing it.
