Quick question:
- I have a Mega MA-Ten. (This is built to the same spec height as the old high profile DPMS upper receiver - 3/16")
- I want to put a JP Modular Handguard on it, with 12 o'clock rail (matches up to the height of the new low profile DPMS upper deceiver - 1/8")
- This is, on paper a 1/16" difference. Will I be able to use Troy Folding Battle Sights on this? ie. Will the range of adjustment on the front sight post be enough to compensate for the height difference?

Looking forward to your feedback.

Cheers.

Re: Mega MA-Ten REceiver Height & Troy BUIS question

Yes, the front post can be lowered sufficiently. Not really optimal if irons are your primary sights, but fine as backups. I suggest the HK style so that the semi-circle is instinctively centered through the rear ghost ring, then put the post on your target.

I find the mismatch in rail height to be a problem. I have used APEX hand guards on low receivers with their low rail and am ordering a high rail to check applicability to an MATEN receiver set I have on hand.

Oh necro thread,
Lost to ages,
Rise once more,
To the front pages…..

How far back did you have to dig to get to a 12 year old thread? Lol
