i have a remington 700 with a synthetic stock and a couple years ago i dropped it off the side of a mountain while sheep hunting. needless to say the stock had a considerable amount of scratching. so i was wondering, could i just sand it out with fine sandpaper or should i just get a new stock?

your opinion is appreciated!

Do sheep care what your stock looks like???

If it's a factory Rem stock (not the HS Precision), just buy a new one. Or if it's a short action Rem 700 Sporter PM me, I have a new one I'll give you.......

Re: messy gun stock

I have a synthetic stocked 700-LA BDL that I am getting ready to remove the stock to build a gun off the action if NY700's sps doesn't work for you. One disclaimer....it is camo'd with Krylon that you would have to remove if you wanted black. Pm me if interested in one cheap.
