I am curious about this because i would like the Remington SASS, and i understand how to buy it if I was LE. But How would I buy one if i was military, can you buy and use your own weapons in the military (Army specifically)?

They have made exceptions for snipers in times of war, but generally the answer is NO!!!!
there is no need to make any exceptions anymore. The mil community has a ton of great gear out there.
