Rifle Scopes MIL/ MOA Scope

I have a Leupold MK 4 LR/T with Mildot reticle, M1 Turrets in 1/4 MOA increments. I understand the concepts of MOA vs. Mil however, When I go to range a TGT in mils, I forget how to transition that reading over to MOA often times to make a timely adjustment on the scope.

What are some of your tips and tricks to understanding MIL/ MOA Scopes?

There are many ways to skin that cat. First is to just use the ret an forget dialing at all. The second is for every mill there is approx 3.5 moa. An third your best option, is to send the scope back to Leupold an have either a mill erector installed or simply have the ret changed out to a moa tree. The tree ret is $160.00 installed back to you, don't know what they charge for the erector change.
