During a tactical competitions no range finder allowed, which is your experience about this matter ?

how much time you need ( average ) from the start signal to measure and to get a solution to fire ?

target size is know..

45 seconds is a good time ?

Are you working by yourself or do you have a spotter? If you're by yourself and need to shoot within 45 seconds thats kinda pushing it, but it depends on the distance.

I would like to know an average time, either alone and with a spotter, I did some exercise alone, checking time ( no fire ) the average time was 35/40 seconds using a MILDOT Master, and about 30 seconds with the tables, the max distance it seem to be 600 meters..

I've used an IDPA brown target difficult to spot with the wood in the background, may be a white steel target will be better, but I'v no information..

my goal is to know what is an acceptable time

It really just depends on how good you are with your reticle.
You gotta practice with your reticle on the known target size.

When I was still using a mil-dot, on a good day of a good week I was +/- 10% within 5-10 seconds of being on target, and +/- 5% with a couple more seconds.

If you are confident in your holds you should have no trouble making the shot in 30 seconds, but you will be hard pressed to dial in and execute in 45.

Edit: This assumes a known constant target size, and not multiple targets of varying size.
