Rifle Scopes Mils vs Magnification

The answer to this seems simple to me but I wonder if I am missing something. If my scope has it's "true" mil at 14x, and assuming it is in the second FP, if I turn up the magnification to 20x, what factor do I need to apply to my hold over measurements? Do I multiply by 6/20ths or 30%? Is it 6 as a factor of 14? Or am I looking at this all wrong?
