how the hell can you be charged for brandishing a firearm INSIDE your house?

bitch im in my house, i can brandish a firearms all i want.....i can clear my house gun drawn, room by room, perfectly legally.

fuck it, lets abolish the police and see where the chips land....guarantee you itll take <24 hrs before the "protesters" are petitioning to have police again.

it wont be much fun harassing people in their homes once the bodies of "protesters" start stacking up in the streets.

is this the new M.O. now?.....harass and threaten people until they feel the need to defend themselves....then cry victim when your ass gets shot at?

why are we sitting by for this?.....why dont we organize mobs to track down BLM/ ANTIFA supporters, and assemble outside their houses shining lights and screaming threats.....then claim we are just "protesting".

I'd challenge those who like whine, cry and run to the mods, every time says something critical of the police on this forum to explain exactly how they justify the above.

Seems pretty cut and dry that "The King's Men" were busy siding with the mob and making sure it's safe for them and going arresting anyone trying to defend their property and letting the mob free to destroy whatever they want.

So let's hear the excuses...
(Please make it better than "just following orders" unless you are also excusing the entirety of the SS and Soviet thugs for their actions under the same rule).

If this is a surprise you have not been watching. Democrats are using the combined power of the mob and government to punish Trump supporters. Republican leaders look the other way and go back to their cocktail party.
No, I have been watching and not surprised by this at all...

Have we seen actual charges against the homeowner? How about names of the Officers who arrested the innocent man? Lets find some honest cops who will enforce the law and arrest the protestors, and leave the homeowner alone? Must be a few left.

We don't organize like they do b/c we gotta go to work... so we can pay taxes and support the protesters who don't.

If this is true, then someone is about to be rich. I don’t see how brandishing any firearm inside your home is a violation of any current law, unless said person is prohibited or was in possession of something illegal. There has to be more to this story. If not, the city will pay. Lawyers would have a field day with this.

What you mean is, the homeowner and their fellow law abiding citizens will be on the hook to pay their tax money to cover what the local government and local police did. While the ANTIFA / BLM goons get emboldened to do even more aggressive attacks and disturbances and the local government hikes taxes on the decent folks to cover the bills for what they did...

So, let's narrow it down.
This specific instance only.
Do you think what the police did was right?
Would you follow orders to do the same?
What lesson do you think any decent folks who want just be safe in their own homes to go about their lives will inevitably draw about the police from this police action?
Do you see any potential for the continued instances like this specific one (of where police "just follow orders" and arrest or harrass those that want to protect themselves, while letting violent criminal mobs go about unimpeded), to destroy all respect for law and order among those that still want to preserve it?

Police are necessary for equal enforcement of the law. As long as we have equal enforcement, I can support them. What we have now is unequal enforcement and I cannot support that. People who have sworn an oath need to revisit their commitment, and if they can no longer fulfill their obligation, should remove themselves from the line of duty.

Unequal treatment breeds distrust and leads to disdain. After it is blatantly obvious there is no equality, there is no support. After the support disappears, LE will wholeheartedly embrace the state. The state loves its self and will protect its self from all enemies, both foreign and domestic.

Theyre just becoming more brazen without consequence and Im waiting for the first massacre where a homeowner just lights a bunch of them up. Maybe that will make them think twice.

Wonder if the homeowner called the police and if so what the conversation went like.

Ive called the police on disturbances in my neighborhood and I give them the option, "either you deal with it or I'll go deal with it and you can clean up the mess:" That usually gets a quick response.

I want to see if the charges stick. I'm hoping they just took the homeowner out of there to diffuse the situation. I believe that the cops actions were wrong but it may have been better than letting a dozen people get shot....even though they are inciting the situation.

Until these self defense cases wind their ways through the courts, I fear the authorities will continue their aggressive posture against people using firearms to defend themselves. Even getting these cases to courts may not be all that helpful if the prosecuting attorney, judge on the bench, and selected jury are all "anti-gun" and or "anti-self defense". However, if a defendant can get a "not guilty" verdict from the court, then they may be better able sue someone. Normally, police, prosecuting attorneys and judges are immune from law suits for any official actions they take.

I don't know if people will ever be able to sway the state legislature to get legislation that better protects people who are trying to defend themselves against mob action, riots, and similar things that might require self defense.

Where I live the guy in the house is blatantly brandishing. Not saying it's right but if it had come to shots fired he'd have been charged with murder for starting the fight. Where I live and carry, one cannot point a gun out the window/or intimate Deadly Force and incite an assault and then claim they were attacked.

If I am sitting in my living room and hear shit I don't like going on in the street ( protests) and then point a gun/flash my intent it is blatant brandishing. The days of shooting folks over the general impression that there will be property damage is long past as is the intimation of pointing guns or brandishing. Maybe it'll get fixed in the coming Reformation of America.

Sucks to be Dude. He should have taken the classes I took and hunkered down in his home until an armed jack ass kicked in the door and *then* lit them up. We can't shoot folks (or intimate that we will shoot folks) because they piss us off anymore. Not saying it's Right or Wrong. Just sayin' - Dude fucked up.

Yea unfortunately you cannot warn people to not take or break your shit. You have to wait til they do it and only inside your home. Also depending on State/City, you can still be charged. They do not care that you worked hard for anything and want to protect it. They only care if you kill the law breaker. Even if you then spend loads of money and are found innocent, you will also have a civil case cause you shot the guy. Its fucking stupid.

You are correct.

HOWEVER it ignores the fact that without someone willing to do what the commissars order, the commissars would have no power.

Therefore those that willingly follow the orders of the commissars are willing participants in and guilty of whatever they are a part of enforcing.
As per the established rulings the same legal system has long used for "organized" criminals, as well as what the Allies decided after WWII

The only reason a small handful people are able to enforce their will on millions or billions of others is the willingness of each level below them to acquiesce to their demands and carry them out.

When you no longer can depend on the police to uphold the law and protect you in your own home from a massive crowd clearly taunting and harassing you, we have nothing left to lose. When we have nothing left to lose, we have nothing left inhibiting us from taking back what we believe is rightfully and lawfully ours. They may question the validity of The Constitution but we know it to be just and right.

As has been said many times before, the law is the only thing standing between us and them. When the law chooses an unjust side and ignores Constitutional rights, there's no longer a barrier.

Choose your side wisely. Even when you don't think they're watching, they are. And they will remember how you acted.

why...so protesters learn there are no consequences for their actions?....

all that would do is tell them they can harass anyone they want, and police will arrest the people being harassed.

would have been better for everyone if a protester got dropped.....then they would get the hint their shitty actions have consequences.

if your kid is getting bullied at school.....you dont put your kid in detention to get him away from the bully.....you have him break the bullies nose.

police need to start doing their fucking job, crack some skulls, and stop handling these rioters with pussy-mittens.......or else they need to get the fuck out of our way so we can handle it ourselves.

Nothing like being arrested and removed from your property in front of a berserk mob of communists threatening you and your property.
Cops and the communists would have shit if a 100 armed pats rolled up all kitted out.

One patriot spokesman to the cops: "Ok, lets not do this."

Cops: "Do what?"

Patriot: "This, what you're getting ready to do."

Your right and wrong. Cops, just like soldiers are responsible for their own actions and have no excuse to follow a unlawful order or one that so clearly violates the constitution. When you can show me the officer that arrested these officers or politicians then I will hear you out on how the cops are not part of the problem.

I’m not anti l e o.. just pro constitution.

It’s not a politician that’s showing up armed to violate a mans constitutional rights inside the sanctity of his own house/castle.
I will accept no orders from anyone who is not God himself or following the constitution.

Honestly, I’m kind of surprised the dudes house was still there. The police arrested him and hauled him off in front of the mob. So they knew the house was empty. Surprised it didn’t get burned down. They must have made them disperse and put a car outside the house or something...otherwise, I’m very surprised it’s still standing not robbed or something. I mean they clearly knew he had guns at that point. Something just isn’t adding up to me on this.

Yup. I was raised in Texas too. Only left for the mil then Alaska.
Every man that took an oath must ask themselves were their line in the sand is. Just like every leo must choose to honor the constitution or ignore it.
lines are disappearing.. there are places in this nation where ifn it was my AO, If already be at war. Badges and titles are only effective when there is a consent to governance. When laws no longer apply to those with the job of governance you start to get things like tyranny.
We the people have the right to withdraw our consent to governance at any time. Someone should make a map showing were free America is and were all the current enemy territory lies..
