Gunsmithing Mixing of the Devcon..

Ok, I did a search using the Google Search Engine.

I know that it says 2.5:1 on the cans of Devcon....but I suck at ratios. So how many teaspoons or table spoons...didn't know if there was any "magic" to mixing this stuff.

Simplify it a little. You can do 2 to 1 and it will be just fine.

So one tablespoon of resin to 1/2 tablespoon of hardener, and so on. Works just fine.

For every 2.5 parts to 1 of the other. It can be any measurement for each part as long as each is to the specific volume/amount.

I just eyeball it. I scoop it out of the containers with hobby sticks (looks like a tongue depressor). I scoop out some putty first, then add a little less than half as much of the hardener, and stir it up in a plastic bowl.

The mix ratio seems fairly tolerant of deviation.

Just 2.5 of whatever you need of the big can to 1 of the little.

So....

2.5 teaspoons to 1 teaspoon which will make a lot of bedding material.

Or...1.25 teaspoons to .5 teaspoons.
