Anyone have a hand at loading MK248 Mod 1 rounds? I’m curious if anyone one here has any experience with it. I’ve never done any reloading myself but would love to have an opportunity to learn a bit more about the round as I’m in the middle of a MK13 mod 5 build.

Berger 230 hybrids have done far better in a customers HCS Mk 13 build.
If you want to run 220 SMK to be true to the Mk248, mod 1 recipe then I can see that. I'd go with better LR performance of the 230 Berger or 215 Berger.
Recipe for Mk248, mod 1 is readily available but I'd be really careful with that as burn rate of lot # powder you have will probably be different than when recipe was documented.

ive got some data somewhere. dont recall if i got all the way up to same velocity. i was using imr4831, but more for personal reasons - i use it across a couple rifles. make sure that whoever is chambering your rifle uses a reamer for it if thats the bullet you want to be shooting.
