And damn it, forgot to cover the coffee.
I grind to a fairly fine grind and make my cup every morning with an Aeropress. 3 scoops of beans, grind, add 3oz of 180 degree water, stir for about 10 seconds, press, then add about another 9oz of water. So far the Kona Peaberry hasn't super impressed me. Its good, and much better than anything I've bought at any coffee shop/shack, but I think I prefer the Kauai stuff over it. I wouldn't turn down a cup of Kona Peaberry at all but I don't prefer it over a couple others, plus it costs quite a bit more.
A friend had some countertops done at her house and apparently the guy doing them is a local roaster from Vancouver, WA. She got me some Kona from him to try out. Just need to drive up and pick it up from her this week.
