I bought a MMR AR15 3 weeks back for UNDER $750 NEW!
While I needed it like a hole in my head the pre panic price was hard to pass up at the local gun shop.
I know its not a "tacticool" shorty rifle it is a darned accurate AR15
I have the "hunter" model, 20" bbl .700" at the end, (will be threaded for my tbac 30p-1 soon)
About 7lbs empty and 9.5 lbs w/ 4-16x44 scope, leupold high rings, 10 round magazine, 9-13" bipod & sling.
This is now my day calling coyote rig & its doing perfect.
My brass bag I made 6 yrs ago on it also as I hate losing any brass.
I have a 3lb timney coming in for it. Stuck a magpull extended bolt release on it & large charge handle part for my gorrillia thumbs.
I have NO plans to add useless junk to it although I do have a sub zero laser designator for it as a backup night rig if anything happens to my dedicated 6x45 Savage I built w/a D740 NV 3rd gen scope on it.rifle.
Cons:
Trigger is about 9lbs!
Funky grip/guard, BUT fits my large hands perfectly.
Smooth side, no fwd assist, (never used it on any AR I owned anyway).
No dust cover...who cares!
No sights...no big deal its a scope gun.
Pros: Upper/lower perfect & tight fit.
20" bbl. 1/9" twist
Accurate as all heck
A2 stock w/ door for parts & grip has parts storage.
free float tube, 2 studs for yer stuff.
It runs the following magazines w/ZERO issues w/my 10-20-30 round magazines.
Magpuls/p-mags/thermolds/ promags/Tapco/ ALL steel mags.
I run a 50g vmax in front of W748 at 3300-3400 fps (20"/24"bbls.) in all my .223s since the late 70s. Very accurate in all .223s....mine anyway!
My 400 yd coyote target, blue is 3" diam. Top at right is my sight in, shoulder area is afterwards, My best was the 5 shots above the hip line. Tought to get a good squeeze w/a 9lb trigger for now!

My 1st coyote last Friday night w/it at 174 yards...DRT

Saturday eve coyote at 257 yards....drt
