I have began my first build on a savage model 111 win mag in 338 . i havr put a center point 4x16-50mm scope on it because the bushnell couldn't handle the percussion of the rifle it has the original 24 in barrel not sure if i should keep it or change it.was thinking of getting a bull barrel or flute the original barrel .the other thing is a muzzle break never had one wad wondering if they help the stocks from the manufacturer wanting to change it but not sure what manufacturer to go with the bolt is the original. one not sure if that will make a difference the goal is have a long rang hunting and. shooting rifle. The ammo i have tried is hornady ss remington core lock and Winchester. All in 200-225 grain i also put a by pod on adjustable from 9-13 in. For more stability shooting prone .i just want some other opinions on what works for them and what I've done so far if I'm not online p.m me thanks
