I am in the process of painting a stainless remington ADL. It has a very bright bolt that I was considering painting but than I thought of using moly to coat it. Anybody have any experience doing this?

You could always go with Ionbond too. That is my coating of choice for bolts.

I bought a couple cans of the moly in aerosol can, I use this to coat many items including bolts, stocks, barrels, scopes, etc. Has a nice greenish gray tint and is fairly durable until you hit it with ammonia based gun cleaner.
