MONO POD?

I know a bag is the best but looking for a mono pod to use in the field.

I have shot a few targets with the MonoPod, and it made a difference enough that I finally bought one. I have always used a rear bag, but I sometimes need more elevation than the bag provides.

I asked the guy I bought it from if there were any cons to using the MonoPod, and he indicated he competes in such a varied terrain, that the Pod really doesn't fit his needs. I don't compete, except for some target punching.
