Let me go further. Can a civil war happen again in this country? Sure. Just as Dippy said we are not immune, we're human regardless of what side of the isle one stands. Will it happen however? Slim to no chance and slim hasn't been seen.

This country is on the same path as Germany was in the early 1930s. Anyone in those days with a brain could see what was coming, but the masses just wanted someone to make them feel good. Our apps do the same thing now, and our elected officials just fill in the rest every 2-4 years. You get free stuff, and you get free stuff and everyone gets free stuff or build that wall. With a smile on their face they tell us what we want to hear all the while simultaneously stabbing us in the back and blaming someone else for it. Both sides do it all the time and all of us as citizens play the sucker every time.

Our rights and the constitution will continue to get eroded with each passing year only to finally die with but a whimper in the night. Civil war will not happen, no one on our side will start it or rally anyone to their cause. If they do, they will be called nuts by everyone, no one on the left has the balls to do anything but start a useless riot here or there. They are but idiot pawns with little value but to cause a distraction anyway.

I'm not giving up or giving in (I'm sure a few will puff their chest in their response to this) but its how I see things. At least on the path we are now we can at least change things for the better. Hoping for a CW is psychotic.
