I have an AXMC coming in .338 Lapua and also a barrel in 6.5 Creedmore. I am going to get a .308 barrel in the future and will run that caliber as well. I would like to have the ability to shoot ELR with the .338 in the future so I know I need to have a sloped base mount for the scope. I know that AI has slope built into the gun already.

The scope is a K525I Kahles. I own an American Rifle Company 20 MOA mount already. I want to get the best setup I can and don't mind buying another mount if needed.

Do I want a 0 MOA mount since the gun already has slope built in?
Should I use the mount I already have?
Would it be worthwhile to step up to a Sphur?
Is there something better than a Sphur?

Thanks for all the help you guys have given me in helping me figure this setup out.

AXMC rifles have a built in 30 moa rail standard which is plenty of cant to get you to 2000 yards using a 338 down to a 6.5 Creed with I your 525.

Sphur mounts are some of the best mounts made are hard to beat. I think if you tried to use your 20 moa mount on your 30 moa AXMC rail, you may not have enough down travel to zero any closer than 200 yards.

Edit* Most guys including myself that I know are running 0 moa sphur mounts on the AXMC.

Seconded. I use Sphur SP-4002's on both of my AXMC's and AX. Pretty much the best height I have found. Simply can't go wrong with a Sphur.

One thing I also do when I order them is replace the white anti-cant bubble with the green one. I do run the Sphur ACI modular mounts as well.
