TLDR: Any issue with using 40 MOA mounts with ATACR 5-25x?
I've got a new (to me) ATACR 5-25x that came with a nice 20 MOA mount. My rifle has a 20 MOA base. So 20+20=40 MOA built in.
Total elevation adjustment according to website is 120 MOA. Rifle is a 6.5 CM. Farthest I ever see myself shooting is 1000y, no opportunities around here to shoot longer.
I've read a lot (probably too much) about not getting too close to either end of adjustment travel with regards to stressing internals & degradation of optical clarity. Can I use what I've got or should I bite the bullet and buy a 0 MOA mount?
